What We Do
Community Matters is a firm of skilled professionals dedicated to advancing the well-being of children, families and communities. At Community Matters, we help leaders build powerful organizations, facilitate high impact collaborations between diverse institutions, and capture and share the lessons from their work.
Who We Help
We advise superintendents of school systems, leaders of city and state governments, executive directors of community organizations, staff and board members of philanthropic institutions, leaders of service and educational unions, and administrators of universities and colleges. We partner with our clients. We coach leaders on making change. We support the creation of new collaborative ventures. We help people build capacity in their organizations.
How We Work
Through our work with clients and partners across many disciplines and sectors, we help people develop hands-on skills in leadership and organizational development, systems change, public education improvement, philanthropy, youth development, workforce development, labor-management practices and advocacy for public policy.
A passion for learning and a commitment to results drive our practice. Like our clients, we are keenly interested in doing the hard work necessary to do better work. Together with our clients we build the shared capacity of leaders, organizations and systems to ensure the success of children, families and communities.
We can help you, your team, or your network. People work with CM when they want to:
